- Serangan jantung atau infark miokardial (Bahasa Inggeris : Myocardial infarction, acute myocardial infarction , MI, AMI) adalah apabila terhentinya aliran darah, walaupun hanya sesaat, yang mengalir ke jantung dan mengakibatkan sebahagian sel jantung menjadi mati. Penyebab serangan jantung akibat penyumbatan pembuluh darah.
- Serangan jantung terutama disebabkan oleh penyakit jantung koroner. Pada penyakit jantung koroner, sejenis plak terbentuk di bahagian dalam arteri jantung. Ia disebut atherosclerosis. Jantung manusia adalah terdiri daripada serabut-serabut otot khusus yang bekerja untuk mengepam darah. Bila sahaja otot jantung tidak mendapat bekalan darah yang mencukupi, seseorang itu dikatakan menghidap sakit jantung.
